We are starting a pool for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. The site is ready for entries and is fairly self-explanatory I hope. We already have a dozen entries or so.
I am still working on the live scoreboard and leaderboard but your entries are safe. Nobody can see your team selections until the deadline passes.
So get in while you can. I am taking cash but if anyone wants to pay online I can probably accommodate. With Revolut at least. The deadline for entires is end of 10 June the groups start on the 11th and will run to the 27th June
Any queries just let me know. All the entry money will go into the purse.

Coming up to the deadline for entries just one day left. The pot is going to be BIG. Just a little breakdown of what will happen next. Thursday morning I will open up another page that shows the full listing of all entries. You can generate your own personal pdf copy. I will also email everyone with a copy of the pdf. If it is too large I will post it in the File Share on the site. You can find that in the top right hamburger menu on the home page.
Once the first game starts and I can see the data being sent back from the API feed there may be some time to get the scoreboard and leaderboard fully functional. It is difficult to fully test this until data starts to come in. Yes we use a free API this is what lets us run these little competitions without taking any cut. We are confident this will be done before end of the first game. Then you can enjoy real time updates for the rest of the 72 group stage games.
We shall also announce the split of the pot. This is not a unilateral decision we have been polling our regulars and the unanimous consensus is to load up the first place prize. The second and third will still get enough to have made it worthwhile entering. We hope this offering adds to your enjoyment of the World Cup. Many entrants have no real interest in football unless it is of the American version.

Deep into the second round of games now and still very close in this little competition. A lot of people though starting to follow their own progress. Someone has to win that’s for sure.

last day coming up. At end of today someone is a lot richer. I think a lot of people will have figured out that they are out of the running but there are still a few in with a chance at the first place. Then a lot more still can get in the money. We shall see where all this ends.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the World Cup so far and this little tournament. It was born from nowhere. I had never seen such a thing but it worked well I think. It has certainly been unbelievably close up until the last couple of days. Even now still uncertainty reigns.
